March 1, 2014
It has been almost one month since I started writing this blog. I have posted books that I have read and that I think are worthy of being shared. I as an avid reader am constantly on the lookout for new authors. Let's face it We, the reader can read lots more books than our favourite authors can write. So we need to discover new authors to feed our addictions.
In the making of this blog I am looking for authors to feature and as such my first book blitz to participate in was for Unraveled the newest book in the Woodlands series by Jen Frederick. A few days ago I posted the blurb about the story and the cover. Today I make good on my promise to deliver the review. I really enjoyed this story. It had depth, passion and character. I would recommend it to all romances readers.
Thanks for reading with me and I hope that you enjoy it too.
Please let me know what you think.

UNRAVELED
by:Jen Frederick

This book was gifted to me in exchange for an honest review. This book was also featured on my blog as my very first book blitz. Needless to say after all the hype I was kind of anxious when I started reading it. What if I did not like it. What was I going to do?

Thankfully I did not have any problems what so ever. The story line evolves around Staff Sargeant Gray Phillips who is home on forty five days leave as he battles with the decision of whether to re-enlist in the Marines.

Samantha Anderson is an Army widow after her husband Will died two years ago. She has spent a long time grieving and is finally coming out of her shell, although she does do monthly luncheons with his parents to help them heal.

One night at the local bar the two of them are drawn to one another. Some heavy necking happens in a quiet hallway. She feels things that she has not felt for a long time, maybe not even with her young husband. He finds her so very sexy and she is totally attracted to her. Too bad he sees her wedding bands and jumps to the wrong conclusion. Having been cheated on before he is seriously pissed off at the discovery.

Samantha is looking for a stepping stone into the dating field. Gray is looking for someone to pass the time with as he does not do long term relationships. They are perfect for one another. They go rock climbing, he watches her knit, they spend time talking to one another.

Things heat up quickly between these two, they have hot sex in the car, in various positions, they have sex in a boat while lazily floating, and they have sex against a doorway. A must have in a relationship according to her best friend.

He has some heavy decisions to make regarding his future, she has some decisions to make about what she wants in her future. Do they have a future together? There are some big bumps in the road, a stupid comment that he makes to his friends may have long term consequences. Her heart is still tender and she may have trouble allowing herself to fall in love again.

This story
was very well written. It flows well. I eagerly turned the pages to discover what happens next. There were some surprises and actions that I did not see coming. Some different conflicts that I was not expecting. A life or death experience that had me bringing out the kleenex. The ending of the story was extremely well done. It ties up all the loose ends and leaves you totally satisfied. I was sitting in my chair speechless, I was that surprised by some of the last minute antics of this couple.

I would recommend this story to everyone that likes a good romance. There is some sex thrown in, okay a fair bit of sex, but it was certainly tastefully done and fit right into the storyline. I would give this story a 5/5.
