review:

This story was gifted to me in exchange for an honest review.

With many of the romance stories out there, one complaint I have is how quickly a couple tends to fall into bed together, sometimes with in hours of meeting one another. A personal pet peeve of mine shall we say. I was very happy when this book did not follow that story set up. This has the markings of a real love story. It has all the necessary parts, a girl, a hunky guy who she names Mr Tall Dark Adonis, plenty of sexual tension, some history behind the characters, and of course some conflicts.

Lily Pritchard and Brandon Redgrave meet when he literally bumps into her at the coffee shop. He later needs to track her down to return her phone, and send flowers. She wants nothing to do with him and he relentlessly pursues her. I loved it, the tall dark dominant man was being told NO. I don't think it was in his vocabulary. His message:" I expect to hear from you within 24 hr." which she ignores.

Now pursue her he does and soon they do spend some time together, they become closer, she opens up to him emotionally. He helps her with her nightmares. But of course happiness does not come with out some bumps in the road and this story has some conflicts and evil that are lurking around. There will be some scary parts that we worry about both the love their share and question whether it can survive.

This was my first time reading this author and I really enjoyed the story. I thought it had the perfect amount of all the necessary parts to the story. The characters were well developed and the secondary characters really added to the plotline, I hope to see more of them in the next story. I would rate this story a 5/5 and am eager to read the next one

 SEIZE ME FROM DARKNESS

By: Cari Silverwood

This story was gifted to me in exchange for an honest review by We Love Kink. This is the fourth story in the Pierced Hearts series. This series has been one of the darkness romance series that I have read and this one stays true to form. It brings out emotions and desires in the reader that we don't even realise that we have.
Jazmine is being held captive and her only hope of escape is Pieter a good Samaritan guard that has been kind to her. Unfortunately his desire to help her is discovered and now he becomes a prisoner as well. The captor in charge Gregor uses Jazmine and Pieter against one another and soon they enter into a game, a sexual game in order to perform for the mystery man.
Gregor gets off on pain and forces Pieter to have sex with Jazmin so that he and the mystery man can watch. The only downfall is that is Pieter does not hurt her enough than Gregor will beat her again after the performance. This guy is sadistical, he gets excited by the pain and the more pain the better. Pieter tries to deliver pain and pleasure at the same time, he tries to make sure that she enjoys whatever she can. Gregor keeps demanding he get more and more violent. The scene with the barbed wire will stay with me for awhile.
Things at this point are looking pretty bad for these two but there is still lots of the story left. The twists and turns just keep coming at you, questions will be asked and answered, more questions will come up and finally all the strings will be tied. Maybe not the way that you are expecting, definitely not the way that I was expecting, and this is what makes a story great, this is what makes you continue to buy stories by your favourite author. The ability they have to surprise you. To constantly deliver endings that are not expected. This author does this. I thought this story was very difficult to read, the poor girl was going through so much and yet I could not put it down, in fact I was eagerly turning the pages. I would rate this story a 5/5.

Blog Tour for Pumping Iron

REVIEW

Sean Rourke has been a professional escort for a while working for Bad Boyfriends an agency that specializes in MM and also tends to attract customers that want just a little bit more. His assignment is to go and babysit Mr Lovett Jr for awhile and try to keep him out of trouble.

Mike Douglas is assigned to accompany them as a personal trainer for the weekend. Oh oh, watch out now, some personal sparks are set to fly, and fly they do. There is certain attraction between Sean and Mike and they do not take long to act on it.

Seems Mike loves Sean and wants him to quit his job and just be with him, he even offers him access to a desk job. This is a lot for Sean to take on all at once, he will need some time to process.

In the mean time, their real assignment is not exactly as was portrayed to them. Seems there is some mystery involved. Some shady characters even. Some wrongs need to be set right, some careers need to be changed and some mysteries need to be solved.

This was my first full length MM story and I was pleasantly surprised. I found this story had a great plot and I was easily entertained. There was plenty of romance and plenty of sex and like all good romantic stories the sex scenes did not overpower the basic story line. I think that is so very important. I read a story to be told a STORY not to read page after page of sex. I thought the characters were well rounded out and the secondary characters truly well defined.

I would be interested in reading more by this author and would rate this story a 4/5.

Check out some of the other tour stops as well! It is always interesting to read other peoples reviews and thoughts. Feel free to add your own review as well, authors always appreciate hearing from their readers. It makes their hearts feel all warm and tingly.

Excerpts -

Stop!” I scream, my heart racing so fast that I think I might pass out. We come upon each turn at such a high speed that I am sure we will spin out. “You’re going to get us killed!”

Because that’s what I felt when he had you, when I was racing back home to get you back after he told me he took you. That’s what I have felt these couple of weeks when all you do is cry. I know what you’ve been thinking, I’m not a fucking imbecile.” He shifts the gear and the engine purrs, giving the car a boost of power and sending me into further panic.

Taylor. What the fuck are you doing!” I shout.

I want you to wake the fuck up Shyla!” He sharply turns the car into a an open field, and the car’s stiff suspension violently jitters underneath us.

You’re going to break this thing!”

I’m fucking rich, I can buy twenty of these tomorrow! Who gives a shit about a car?”

You’re scaring me. Please stop the car.”

Tell me you’re coming back to me!”

What?”

I want you back. I need you back. You need to fight this!” Though he is yelling over the frenetic notes of

electronic music, his eyes are focused on the field in front of him. I glance forward and that’s when I see, out in the distance, a row of fences growing in size with each passing second.

Taylor stop!” I scream at the top of my lungs.

Tell me you’ll fight goddammit! Tell me now!” I glance again, the fences are now so close I can see the detail in the wiring. It’s only a fraction of a second, but I realize I feel so many things all at once. I don’t want to die, I don’t want to have an accident. I want to live, I want to have a life with Taylor. Despite what’s going on inside of me now, there is so much I want to live for and do. “So help me, I won’t fucking stop!”
Synopsis:

What do you do when the man who you love more than anyone else in the world terrifies you? This is a question Shyla must confront and it takes her to her breaking point.

The only person who can bring her back is the same person who is capable of destroying her beyond repair.

Shyla has seen a side of Taylor she can never forget. She now understands that not only is he capable of immense tenderness, but ruthless violence. She must decide if she will fully trust Taylor and embrace both his light and darkness, as it is clear both exist equally within him.

Their pasts continue to cast a shadow over their relationship as Shyla attempts to convince Taylor that the only way they can truly embrace the future is to reopen and repair old wounds.

Taylor swears anything he has ever done was to protect Shyla, but Eric's words haunt her and cast doubts on Taylor's intentions.

Taylor will do anything for Shyla.

Now she must decide if that is actually good thing.

This is the third and final chapter to the story of Taylor Holden and Shyla Ball. What a journey this series has been. This author has touched on emotions that I had forgotten that I had. This couple is drawn together in the first story and Shyla leaves her current boyfriend Rick because the attraction is so great. This is what love feels like; Taylor makes her feel alive, sexy and needed. This is what has been missing in her life. They certainly have a roller coaster of a story as many outside forces try to tear them apart.

Without giving too much away if case you have not started your literary journey with this couple, it turns out that they have a shared childhood that is simply unbelievable and bonds them together like nothing else could possibly. Taylor loves her deeply, totally and desperately and will protect her with his life. At some time during this journey that does happen and the extent of his devotion will be proven. He never wavers in showing just how much he loves her and how important he believes her to be to him.

This series has been the best that I have read in a while, it will keep you entertained, biting your finger nails and clutching the edge of the seat for all three stories. You will love Taylor, hate him and then love him again. You will always love Shyla as she tries to come to terms with the Taylor of now and the one from before and tries to help him with the demons that he still carries around. The sex between the two of them is frequent and has the perfect amount of steam. As outside forces try to come between them, we hope that they love they share will hold true. I believe that the author did a great job of tying up all loose ends and even tied some up that I was not expecting, that this the definition of a great author, to be able to surprise the reader, to make them say ‘ I did not see that coming.” I think that Nina Jones was able to do that a few times during this series. I loved it from the first page of the first story to the last page of the third installment. I would rate this series a 5/5 and would definitely read more by this author.

Summary

The hotly anticipated sequel to Losing Control.

I thought I needed only one thing in my life–the money and power to crush one man. But the moment I laid eyes on Victoria Corielli, my thirst for revenge was replaced by my craving for her.

No rule would keep me away; no obstacle too large to overcome. Not her will, not our differing social positions, not my infamous past. When she lost everything, I helped her pick up the pieces. When she trusted me with everything, she sealed her fate.

I’ve convinced Victoria she can put her heart in my hands. Now I have to protect it–from her shady stepfather and my business rivals, from enemies known and hidden. I’ll do anything to keep her. And I might have to prove it, because now Victoria's risking more than her heart to be with me; she’s risking her life.

Excerpt

I want us to get married. Soon. Do you want a big wedding?”

“Married? I mean, I guess I thought you were serious but I figured…I don’t know.” Her voice trails off.

“That my proposal of marriage was somehow insincere? I’ve never wanted anything more. I just didn’t want to pressure you because of all the emotional upheaval you’re experiencing now.” Rolling over so she can see me and judge the sincerity for herself, I declare, “I want you to be my wife. The mother of any children we have. My partner in life. I want that to happen now so that I can introduce you as Mrs. Ian Kerr.”

Her eyes close for a moment and beneath the lids, silent tears leak out. Her words, though, are classic. “Maybe you should take my name. You can be Ian Corielli and I’ll introduce you as Mr. Victoria Corielli.”

“As long as it means you’re mine in the eyes of the world, I’ll be Mr. John Smith.”

She wraps her arms around my neck and clings to me. This time the shudders I’m soothing are from maybe, possibly, hopefully joy for our future. “I’m okay with Victoria Kerr,” she chokes out. “You better give me a big rock and lots of flowers since you’re proposing to me while we’re naked.”

“I proposed to you when I first took you to the house on the Long Island Sound.”

“You didn’t propose. You said that you wanted me to be your wife and fill your big house with lots of little people.”

“That’s a proposal.”

“It was a demand.”

“It was a request couched as a demand.”

Her body is shaking with laughter. “You’ve been in charge for too long. That was no request.”

Pushing to my knees, I reach into the nightstand and retrieve the box I bought before Sophie died. Her eyes grow huge and her hands come up to the cover her mouth. I flip the box lid open, pluck the ring out and toss it aside.

Lifting her shaking hand in mine, I slide the ring down her finger

When I was fifteen I made a hundred different stupid vows. I’d avenge my mother. I’d rise to the top of Wall Street and smite everyone down. I’d crush Richard Howe beneath the sole of my boot. I’d win at everything. But I never wished for happiness because I didn’t know what it was until you came into my life. How could I want something I didn’t know was missing? Now, everything I’ve achieved pales in comparison to having you love me. When I say that you’re my heart, my everything, those aren’t just words. They are the only truth in my world. I’d give up money, revenge, success, as long as I could lie down next to you at night and wake up with your face beside mine.

There is no greater achievement in my life than having you fall in love with me and I recognize on some mysterious level that is pure luck. I need you to marry me and be my wife. I need you to be the mother of my children. I need you because without you I am nothing. I am a pile of bones and flesh filled with misery. You bring me to life. Love me, marry me, be with me in this life and into all the ones we live from this point ever after.”

“Well, since you put it like that, I guess I must.” She rises and kisses me. Our mouths sealing the promises we’ve made to another one another.

I make love to her again then, slowly. We barely move. I just slide in and we rock together and allow the strength of our emotions to carry us into the heaven.

REVIEW:
We have met and fell in love with Victoria Corielli (Tiny) a bike messenger and Ian a millionaire. It was a rocky beginning but the two of them are destined for great love. They compliment each other emotionally and sexually. They are like two halves of the same hole.

“She’s everything to me. Everything.”

“My heart” she says between kisses. “You’re my heart.”
The road to their HEA is not going to be a smooth one. Victoria has a lot of issues that she needs to deal with. The most heavy one is the lost of her mother, they were very close and she is grieving deeply. Then out of the woodwork comes the stepfather and stepbrother and we hope that Ian is able to protect her from their manipulations. After she is injured at her job Ian arranges for an office job for her- to keep her safe and it is hard for her to give up the freedom of being outside and being free. Hope that they can come to a compromise.

Ian has his own demons to deal with regarding Richard Howe the man that ruined his father. Now that he has Victoria in his life this vendetta seems to be taking on less and less importance. There will be some shocking and surprising scenes as this chapter in their lives comes to a close.
The depth of their emotion and outpouring of love that they share is evident on every page. Ian is obsessed with making her happy and putting her on a pedestal as the most important person in his life.

“I need you because without you I am nothing, you bring me to life.”
This story was told through Ian’s perspective and the author did a great job capturing his thoughts and emotions. I loved reading the story from the male point of view. I was captivated by these characters in the first story and eagerly finished this one as well. I thought the author did a great job of solving all the mysteries and wrapping up all the loose ends. I would rate this story a 5/5 and will definitely read more by this author.

About the Book

If it’s not broke don’t fix it. That was Cash’s motto in life, and his life was perfect. He was living the life of the lieutenant of The Last Riders, and had women at his beck and call. The only thing he saw himself settling down with in the future was a twelve pack; certainly not Rachel Porter, who was on his short no fuck list. Hell, she wasn’t even his type—her tits were too small, and her mean mouth could shrivel a man’s dick. How was he supposed to know she was special and worth putting up with those weed-producing hillbillies? Or was she?

Rachel had lived her whole life watching Cash break one woman’s heart after another. He was everything she shouldn’t want; a bad boy biker with enough sex appeal to make any woman want a night in his bed. Even her. Heck, he wasn’t even her type—he didn’t know when to keep his mouth shut, and he lived in a sex club. How was she supposed to know that he was special and worth putting up with the biker wars and biker bitches? Or was he?

Contemporary MC Romance | Words: 400pgs. (approx.) | Heat Level: Erotic

REVIEW
This was the story between Cash and Rachel. It was not a love that I saw coming or that was easily predicable. Cash is quite popular with the girls and has been with a lot of different women both in the club and in the town. He does not do long term relationships but he does have frequent partners. Rachel Porter is the sister of those Porter brothers who have hated Cash forever. She has been in love with Cash forever but knows that he is off limits because of the hatred that he shares with her brothers.

One night Cash comes to her house and she has the night of her dreams and loses her virginity to him. Of course our hero Cash is not the “perfect” man after this event and continues to sleep with lots of woman and her attention is always drawn to this fact and her feelings are often hurt.

After a particularly set of nasty comments at a party one afternoon by Cash and her brothers Rachel leaves town for a bit to get her head on straight only coming back after Cash is injured. She uses her healing abilities to help him recover, showing her love for him the best way that she can.

This was one of my favorite stories to date. The romance between these two is hard to come by. There are obstacles in every path. He has hurt her and she is not finding it easy to forgive him and move on. He finds that he is attracted to her and can’t seem to get that night out of his mind but she seems unwilling to give him a chance. I loved how she is tough and holds to her guns to not let him in. He is just as determined to get her again and it is amazing the extent that he goes to in order to achieve this. He shows some imagination and stubbornness in the people he approaches and bares his emotions to in order to ask for help. Rachel is tough and does not give in easily, she has loved him forever but she has seen sides of him that she does not like and she is not willing to be with him.

I really loved this story and would rate is a 5/5.

The Hunter…

Dare O’Shaughnessy had the world in the palm of his hand. A man known and feared for his ruthlessness, his word was law. The last word he ever expected to hear was no. Until he met her.

The Prey…

Aya Smith despised the ruling class who looked down on hardworking people like her. Sick of being treated unfairly by laws that protect the wealthy and punish the poor, she takes a stand but soon realizes, she might have crossed the wrong man.

The Game…

Created as a government program to assist in the repopulation of the country when an untested drug wipes out millions of women, The Run eventually evolves into something much more sinister. Now played for the amusement of the super rich, women down on their luck find themselves the prizes of sadistic masters.

Aya is forced to volunteer for The Run, and Dare, the most sadistic of all, places her in his crosshairs. She will belong to him, body and soul. But when he catches her will she succumb to his mastery, or will he find more trouble than he bargained for?

Excerpt:

Aya took a deep breath as she made her way to the bar being careful not to look directly in the direction of the jerk supreme. As she poured his drink, she was tempted to spit in it. With each move she made, Aya could feel his heated gaze on her. She wasn’t naive about men like him. They acted like they owned everything they saw. He was toying with them and threatening their livelihood because he could.
She used as much time as she dared to fix his drink before walking toward him, still refusing to make eye contact. Aya forced herself not to slam the glass down in front of him. “Will that be all, sir?” she asked through gritted teeth while she kept her gaze planted on her feet.
“Look at me.”
Aya didn’t want to stare into eyes so deep a green they were almost hypnotizing. They were her favorite shade and she resented the hell out of him for that. Thoughts of her uncle forced her to comply. Slowly, she raised her head until she met his gaze full on. That cruel smirk curved his lips.
“If there’s nothing else, I need to see to the needs of the other customers.”
“I was under the impression from the proprietor that you don’t deal with customers. Which one of you is lying?”
She bit the inside of her lip to hold back an angry retort.
The bastard had the nerve to chuckle. “No need to answer. I can see he was just protecting what’s his. I can’t say I blame him. What are you to him?”
“I don’t think that’s any of your business.”
“Fair enough.” He picked up his drink and took a sip all while his gaze roamed the bar. After placing the glass down, the smirk returned. “How much do you think a place like this would cost if someone wanted to invest for the purposes of tearing it down and rebuilding?”
The blood pounded in her head and she dug her nails into her palms. “He’s my uncle.”
He nodded in seeming approval. “Have a seat, Aya.”
She didn’t like how he used her name as if he had the right but she complied. “Look Mr. O’Shaughnessy, I don’t know what you’re trying to do here, but we don’t want any trouble. We’re sorry if you haven’t found the service to your satisfaction but we just want to be left alone. Please.”
“You seem like an intelligent woman. I would have thought it was fairly obvious what I wanted.”
She folded her hands in her lap and clinched them tightly together to keep herself from trembling. This couldn’t be happening. There had to be a way she could get herself out of this. She opted to play dumb. “I have no clue what you’re talking about.”
He narrowed his eyes. “I think you do. In fact, I know you do. So, let’s not play games. You can make this really easy on yourself. You and your uncle will be taken care of for as long as I want you. And when I no longer do, you’ll be well compensated. You’ll be under my protection.”
She fought back the urge to attack him. The arrogant son of a bitch. “And what if I don’t make things easy on myself?”
“I don’t think you want to know. But the end result will be the same. I will have you.”
