Hands full taking care of his clan, the last thing this Kodiak bear needs is a woman poking her cute little nose into his affairs. But when she refuses to back down—and shows the courage to stand up to him—he can’t resist the allure of a curvy city girl.
She’s mine. All mine.
And when a rival clan thinks to use her to force his paw, he’ll show them why you never piss off a Kodiak, or threaten what’s his.
Tammy is convinced men are all scum, even gorgeous ones like Reid Carver. She knows he’s hiding something. Something big. She just never expected a real freaking bear hid underneath all those muscles. But when the truth comes out and he tries to scare her off with a roar, she shows him not just bears have bite.
It took a few minutes for her eyes to adjust to the darkness, and when they did, she got to admire an alien landscape of snow, the surface marred in spots by snowmobile tracks. A distant light on the garage didn’t do much to illuminate the yard, the crescent moon with its wan glow off the snow doing more for visibility. Between the two sources, she had enough light to notice movement coming from the front of the house, a lumbering motion that made its way to the porch steps. Given the proximity, she had no problem recognizing the massive freaking bear that plodded up them. And she meant massive!
Oh my freaking god.
Slowly, holding her breath, she backed away from the window lest the beast spot her and decide a layer of glass wasn’t an impediment to a fresh midnight snack. The problem was, backing away meant losing her line of sight on the bear. But she was safe.I’m in the house. The bear is outside. It can’t get to me here.
Unless it decided to come in.
Her eyes widened and threatened to pop out of her head as she noted the handle to the outside door turning. At that point rationality fled, and she frantically tried to recall what her dad said to do if ever confronted by a bear.
Play dead? She doubted she could fake that, not with fear making her tremble.
Make noise? With what? Somehow shrill screaming didn’t seem like the right approach. But what if she found something noisy to bang and scare it off?
The counter behind her was pristine, but above it, on a suspended rack, hung pots and pans. A plan formed. She’d grab two and smash them together in a symphony of noise frightening the bear—who in some Darwinian feat had learned to operate doors—and hopefully bring someone with a gun running.
She managed to only unhook one large frying pan when the door creaked open—and this was just another good reason to always have the habit of locking them, city living or not. A swirling gust of snow blew in.
Shutting her eyes, snowflakes coated her lashes and when she opened them, she couldn’t make out much detail-wise about the large shape that loomed in the doorway. Didn’t matter. Her father didn’t raise a coward, and she wasn’t about to become a midnight snack without a fight. She let out a battle cry and swung.
That didn’t sound like a bear. Oops.
Tammy backed away as the lights flicked on in the kitchen. She blinked in the sudden glare, and the crystals on her lashes melted leaving her with perfect—and unfortunate—vision. Uh-oh. She blinked some more. Licked her lips. Wet her panties. And not in fear, even if a bear of a man glowered down at her, his irritation over the lump forming on his cheekbone probably the cause.
‘Are you seriously accosting me in my home, again?”
“I thought you were a bear,” she explained feebly with a wave to the window. “I saw one on the porch, and then something opened the door. I reacted to defend myself.”
“With a frying pan?”
She shrugged. “I had to think fast.”

Kodiak's Claim (Kodiak Point, #1)

This story was gifted to me in exchange for an honest review. I have to say “lucky me”, as I would have bought it anyway, there are some authors that you just have to “one click” on Amazon and this is one of them.

Tammy is feeling self conscious about her weight after her last boyfriend cheats on her when she finds herself sent to Alaska for her job. She is investigating the insurance claim involving missing cargo from the transport trucks that are ran by Reid Carver. He is the head of his clan and is a shifter bear. She finds herself spending the nights at his house with both Reid and his grandmother.  Now Tammy does not believe that there are actually shifters out there, and Reid and his clan do not like to publicize themselves so it is funny to watch them try to explain away the sighting that she has.

Of course she finds herself smack in the middle of danger and Reid has to rescue her. Now along the way it seems that there is a fair bit of attraction between the two of them and it has the reader wondering is they are destined to be mates.

I really enjoyed this story and found it was really easy to read. Eve Langlais has a great way with her characters and makes them so true to life and likable that the reader is able to simply just enjoy the book, the story lines all flow together so effortlessly. All of her characters are nicely rounded out and the secondary characters all seem to be very involved in the story line and I certainly hope to be able to read more about some of them in the future. I would rate this story a 5/5.

22570767Without Hesitation
This story was gifted to me in exchange for an honest review by We Love Kink.
C.J. Azevedo writes a beautiful love story. This is the third in the Without Series and I confess I feel the urge to read the first two now. Let me tell you why I believe this was a great book. Their love is real and long lasting, sometimes books condense too much stuff in too sort a time period, here, not the case- Macie and Greyden have been in love for years. It was also true to life- these were so honest emotions and believable conflicts that they were facing. Secondary characters- there were plenty of these and they played a large role in the story, I loved it. I believe that these characters help to make the story and certainly are responsible in creating the characters that we love.
I digress; let me tell you a bit about the book, Macie and Greyden have known each other for years, since she was a pre-teenager. He gave her first kiss a fourteen so it would be memorable and her first bikini to help her fit in with the “in” crowd. Over the years they would experience many more firsts together and could always be counted on to be there for one another. But something always interfered when Macie wanted to get serious. She wants to build a life, she wants family and children and this is something that he is not prepared for at the moment. Macie realizes that maybe if she wants these things that it can not be with Greyden. It is a heartbreaking decision for her but she decides to move on.
What happens next will change the lives of many. It will certainly put things into perspective as all characters needs to reassess what is important to them and what matters the most. A true tear jerker at times and then at others we almost feel the need to shake some sense into people. Please read to find out what I am talking about.

I would definitely give this story a 5/5.

His Every Need
Terri L. Austin

Allie Campbell finds herself in a little bit of a crises. Her mother died from cancer a few years ago and since then she has been in charge of the house, her father and her two younger sisters. When her father looses the house she does the only thing she can think of. She goes and talks to the new owner. One misunderstanding later , Trevor Blake finds himself in possession of Allie for the next two months.
Allie is prepared to do what ever it takes to keep the house and her remaining family together. If she needs to spend a couple of months as a sexual being, so be it.
Trevor, however, is not what she perceives him to be and for the first little while all they do is talk and spend time together. There is a lot of attraction between them and they do eventually act on it. He makes her loose his job so that she can be available to spend time with him whenever the need arises.
This story was not what I expected at all. I was assuming Trevor would be only interested in sex. That is just not so, he has depth and character to him. While he can be overwhelming and overbearing he can also be sweet and charming, when he wants to of course. Not that Trevor and Allie are spending parts of every day together they really get to know one another and the attraction is there. The sex is off the charts hot. But he is not quite ready to admit to feelings for her and in typical male fashion he is capable of spitting out some hurtful and biting words.
Between his parents and her family there is family drama all around. I thought both sets of families really added depth to the story and I enjoyed the character of his mother the best. She is truly hilarious. It was great to see how Allie is finally able to get some help with her family.
I thought that this story was a beautiful read. It had a great story line and was a delight to read. The characters were well fleshed out and the plot had the right amout of depth to it. I thought the love scenes were well done and did not overpower the story but were just the right amount of lusty. I would rate this story 5/5 and look forward to reading more by this author.

hosted by Book Enthusiast Promotions

It was all too much. There was no way I could keep piling up these lies without it all tumbling down.
I was desperate to keep her, even if it meant I had to lie to her. But when everything unravels, the only thing that can save us is the truth in our love.

Turnabout is Fair Play

My hands were behind my back, my legs spread, Xander’s right hand over my mouth and his other in between my legs. I was sitting on his lap, my back to his chest, his hard cock nestled in the ridge of my ass. Occasionally, he’d bite my neck as his heavy breaths caressed my ear.
This was supposed to be a session. Our sessions had gotten more emotional over the weeks, but before he’d pour out his emotions, he needed to drain the physical need that always clawed at us.
I whimpered against his hand.
“Shut up or Angela will hear you. Do you want that?” His tone was blunt, his voice raspy at my ear.
I shook my head, but how was I supposed to keep quiet when his fingers were driving into me, slithering along my clit, then gliding back into my wet pussy. The man was sinfully amazing. He was fully clothed but had managed to get me to strip down to my garters and heels, on the verge of begging him to fuck me.
He’d spread my legs as far as I could possibly get them. He was taunting me. Ever since the day I’d sucked him off in my office and made him lose control, he’d waited for this moment. He had a leash on me. It wasn’t your typical kind either. His leash came in the form of magic fingers and a glorious cock that compelled me to follow his orders to a tee. His finger manipulations became faster, pushing against my sweet spot, then rubbing against my clit. It was just enough pleasure to keep me on the edge, and he’d kept me there for almost half an hour.
If he wasn’t careful, my next appointment would walk in and he’d still be working me with his phenomenal digits. “Pleeease…” I gasped through the hand he held over my mouth.
“Do you understand how this works?” His voice was unreasonably calm while I was riding in limbo, tasting little morsels of pleasure, but not allowed to indulge on the feast I was promised. I nodded. Anything to get him to release my orgasm from his ruthless grasp.
“My pussy. I decide when you come,” he informed me.
“Your dick is mine—I should… get to decide.” He withdrew his fingers and smacked my pussy for my comeback answer.
Holy fuck!
The sting buzzed against my clit. I swear I almost came from that tap. One more and I was sure to go over. Maybe I can goad him into repeating it.
“That’s not how it works. I decide when we both come,” he growled.
“When do I get to decide?” I countered.
He plunged two fingers deep into my pussy and I quivered. “When I tell you to ride my dick and make me come. Now you have sixty seconds to come, and don’t disappoint me.”

It is the third and final segment of the Sexual Misconduct Series. What a ride these stories have been. I think that we, the reader have experienced all sorts of different emotions as we made this literary journey. There was certainly arousal as the sex scenes between them were off the chart hot and filled with so very much love on both sides. There was heartbreak and sorrow as we learned about the history concerning the crash that has affected both characters and unknowingly ties them irrevocably together in ways that no one saw coming. There is anger towards him for sleeping with so many different women in the past and trying to hide his demons that way. We feel pride towards Avery as she has made such a good life for herself after the tragedy of her parents death at a young age. Mostly we feel hope and love that these two are meant to be together.

It is possible now that these two will have their happy every after, BUT of course Avery does not know their connection yet and all hell breaks loose when she finds out and of course it is not Xander that tells her and this makes it worse. Our only hope is that she is strong enough to forgive him and move on. This is what she has been telling him before she realized what crash he was referring too, that he was young and he needs to put his guilt aside and get on with his life.  Just not sure if that will include her being a part of it.

I think that this series was one of the best that I have read. I was eager to read each and every one of them. I really appreciated that the author did not keep us waiting too long for the next installment.  I like to be able to remember the base of the story while reading the next parts.  The characters were very well fleshed out and we were really able to get to know both Xander and Avery and even the roommate Ellie and her involvement in the saga.

Skye Callahan

This book was gifted to me in exchange for an honest review, after I begged and begged and begged. Down on my hands and knees, I just knew that I needed to read this story. It was calling out to the inner darkness in me.

Silver is the name that she chose to call herself after she is kidnapped. She knew that her previous life would be no more and she wanted to be know as more than just a number. Drugged one night at a bar she soon finds herself in a situation worse than any nightmare. During a struggle to avoid a gang rape she is saved by Kirk, well saved is a very nice word as she finds herself in the position of being his personal sex slave.

The rules are simple, obey and you can live.

This is so very hard for Silver as she struggles with every aspect of captivity and finds herself being punished over and over again. There are very degrees of humiliation that he using including frequent butt plug insertion, crawling and being naked. There are also physical beatings that were heartbreaking.

After a period of time “I had yet to accept never being free again. But there would be a certain level of freedom in submitting to Kirk.”

I loved loved loved this story. Silver is so very strong, she mentally battles everyday to keep true to herself. I found myself alternating between wishing she would continue to fight or submit and have an easier life. The sadistical enjoyment that these men got from enjoying the total submission of their women was certainly captivating to read. The author took us on a different journey every time the men got together. Each page was fresh and attention gripping. There are certain characters that draw you in and make you feel for them and others that you wish that you could just destroy as they affect you strongly in a negative way. I suppose that is true for all such organizations as this one.

I found the author was able to keep my attention, no, not only that but she was able to make me tune out everything else going on because I needed to continue and finish this story. I would give it a 5/5 and would certainly go higher if able. It had all the elements of a great dark read. Some darkness including definite non-consent, kinky sex, voyeurism, some voluntary sex and of course the age old fight of good vs. evil. I would definitely read more by this author and recommend this story to all that are willing to go a little bit into the darker side of romance.

Natasha Stories

Erin Timms decided it was time to break away from an exboyfriend and accepts a job as a vet in small town Sunshine Colorado. She is going to be running the practice as the owner has gone on an extended vacation. The only thing he left behind is his snarky daughter who happens to work the front desk, when she does any work that is.

Jon Miles comes rushing in one day with a dog that had been hit by a car. He is obviously a well to do man and surprisingly does the right thing by the dog, paying for his care and taking him to physio classes.

Jon has an ulterior motive to being in town. He is trying to save the mountain canyon before any more developments occur. He is in town with his supposed girlfriend Ashley. Things get hot and heavy between Jon and Erin as they spend time together. He tells her that Ashley is history but Erin’s heart is still on the line. She believes in him. It will be interesting to follow this relationship to see how it pans out. Erin has been hurt before and recently to boot and now she is loosing her heart again.
I think the author did a great job with this story. The chemistry between the two of them is hot and instant. There is intrigue and mystery as the story around the real reason behind Jon’s visit is explained. Ashley’s character was well done as the supposed girlfriend. The reader almost feels sorry for her, not quite but almost. The background story of the development in the canyon and the history of the town was nice to read about. Overall I believe the story had many features and revolves around so much more than just Jon and Erin. I would recommend this story to all story lovers and would give it a 4/5.

Designed (The Intoxicated Books, Book 3)

Alicia Renee Kline

Hosted by Book Enthusiast Promotions

Blake Snyder is an expert at bringing visions to life. Owner of a successful interior design business, she prides herself on creating things that are picture perfect. If only her talent extended to her personal life.

Chris Taylor is her brother’s best friend, but more importantly, her ex. After a messy breakup years ago, they’ve been careful to avoid each other.

But out of sight isn’t necessarily out of mind. Chris holds a special place for her in his heart – and a never presented engagement ring. Blake can’t stop thinking about him – despite her frequent attempts to replace him.
When a series of events in the present lead Blake to confront the truth in her past, she knows that it’s time to come clean about what really drove them apart. What she reveals is something that brings him to his knees yet again.

Can Chris forgive her for a decade of secrets and omissions? Will their love for one another be strong enough to withstand the repercussions of a decision made long before? Or will the bombshell spell their ultimate demise?

This story was gifted to me in exchange for an honest review. I found after reading the first two stories and learning all about Matthew and Lauren, I was really looking forward to learning more about his sister Blake.  She had been Lauren’s roommate at the beginning, and the chemistry between her and Chris hinted towards some really interesting history.

As I read deeper and deeper into this segment of the trilogy the answers to my questions came to light. I began to understand what had happened between them so many years ago and how one single act could change theirs lives for so long. Chris and Blake had been buddies and then lovers for it seemed to be forever. They started seriously dating when she was only fourteen and it seemed to be destiny that they would end up together forever. Then Matthew got into trouble with the law and things changed. Blake found her estranged from her parents and her relationship with Chris reached a crises point. It went in a direction that neither one of them could foresee and for the last nine years they have been avoiding each other. She tries to loose herself in other men but it never works, she can’t forget the love of her life and stop yearning for the life that they were meant to have.

It will take a lot of bravery on her part to open up apart what has kept her away from him for so long. It will take a lot of love and patience on his part if he is to listen to her and help her heal. I know that they still love each other, but am not sure if that is strong enough to bear it all.

Once again Alicia Renee Kline has written a tear jerker of a novel. Blake was so very young when she had to make so many adult decisions and learn to live her life alone. Quickly she looses everyone that is dear to her, her family, her brother and then Chris. It is not wonder that she harbors guilt for so many years. I am rooting for some love for her. I am hoping that she and Chris are able to make amends and continue on as they are meant to be- together.

I would give this story a 5/5. I would also highly recommend that you read them all in order. It is truly worth it. I loved them all.

Warning: This is sweetly sexy, explicit dirty fun inside this short novella. Along with DD/LG play.

Body Games

Jessica Clare

This story was gifted to me in exchange for an honest review.

This was the first time that I had read a story written by this author and I thought it was very well written. Annabelle Tucker has been asked to come back to Endurance Island for a season that features all second time guests. Even though her first experience had not let her with good memories the money the producers were offering her convinced her to give the show another try. The chance to get the better of Kip, the guy that had used her during her first season also sweetened the pot.

This time Annabelle went with a personal strategy. She was going to concentrate on the game, use her wits and her skills to nail all the events and come out on top. That was her main goal and nothing was going to get in her way.

Now the show’s producers have a few tricks up their sleeve and the first one happens on the first day as all contestants are instructed to strip. Yep, the games are going to be played naked. Huh, this is going to be interesting. Up to six weeks are going to be spent on this beautiful island with only themselves to rely on for food and shelter.

Jendan Abercombie is also a contestant on this season and we begin each chapter with a quote that gives us his view point on what is happening. The two of them are attracted to one another but resist any kissing. There is plenty of hugging and caressing but anything else needs to wait until the games are over. She is not making that mistake again.

The games themselves were very interesting to read about. I am not a lover of reality game shows on TV so this was all new ground for me. I loved reading about the eating contest and my stomach was hurling along with everyone else. The idea of spending six weeks naked on an island and depending on only your survival skills was certainly great to read about. Imagine the bug bites and sun burns, I mean the sand would be getting everywhere. The lack of basic essential such as deodorant and toothpaste made for some funky reading. I found the story kept my interest and I was quickly turning the pages to see who got voted off next. I hated Kip from the beginning and was eagerly awaiting his demise.

I would rate this story a 4/5 and would be interested in reading more by this author. I believe this story to be a great read for all those readers that are looking for something a little bit different, a story with some depth, some mystery, adventure and of course a wee bit of romance thrown in.

Avery was unexpected but exactly what I needed. She gave me hope again, made me feel things I thought died over a decade ago.
I was reverting back to the man I used to be. The man who destroyed lives to keep the one person who meant everything to him.
My secrets were piling up. I didn't know how long I’d be able to maintain it all.
But I knew I’d do anything to keep her.
There was only one way to hold on to her. I had to let her see who I was underneath it all.

This story was given to me in exchange for an honest review and is the second installment in the Sexual Misconduct Series.

The first segment left on with a bit of a cliffhanger as we realize that Gabriella the stripper, that Xander was sleeping with at the start of story one, the one who gave him the business card for Avery is actually her roommate, little innocent Ellie. Wow, what a secret these two have to keep now. Avery will be devastated to know the truth. But it does provide for some very awkward situations when Xander and Ellie are in the same room.

Avery and Xander continue to get close to one another, physically and emotionally. She is able to get him to open up to her and explain the reasons behind the nightmares. She is understanding him a little bit more now knowing the reason for his demons and works to help him work through the guilt that he is feeling.

There feelings for one another deepen and they are soon exchanging “I love You’s” They are quickly becoming the centre of each other’s lives. Their love is deep and all consuming. The sex between them is frequent and very hot as their deep commitment to one another is shown in their lovemaking.

But all is not as quiet and calm as it appears. Best friend Marcus has been digging into the past of our favourite Dr Avery and what he finds will blow the lid wide open on their relationship. It might be the end. It just might be something that neither one of them can find the courage to get past.

Lets Play Doctor

I need help.” I licked my lips and smiled at Avery because I knew she had a weakness for my dimples.
What kind of help?” Avery furrowed her eyebrows, gazing at me over her glasses.
I have an obsession with sexy doctors who pull their hair up in tight buns but wear sexy garters and naughty underwear.”
Well, Mr. Pierce, sounds like you need therapy.” Avery came around the desk and leaned her ass on the edge, pulling off her glasses and eying me.
It’s really severe, Dr. Shaw. My fingers tremble with the need to let her hair down, my mouth waters from her smell, and my dick gets so… hard.”
She stepped forward, bit down on her bottom lip as she leaned over, and rubbed my cock through the fabric of my pants. “It’s not only hard. It’s feverishly hot.”
What can you do for me, doctor?”
She smiled. A slow, sultry smile. She unfastened my belt, dragged my zipper down, and pulled out my cock. “Maybe I can cool it down.” She cupped my balls in her palm and massaged them, her lips brushing against mine. “With my mouth,” she whispered against my lips.
I hissed.
She dropped down to her knees, looked up at me, then rolled her tongue over the head of my cock. I jolted. It was all I could do not to come. She caressed the underside of my dick, then flicked her tongue into the seeping slit.
Ohh… fuck. She was going to kill me. Hundreds of blowjobs and I never felt anything like this. Once she got her mouth on my cock, there was no such thing as a simple blowjob. It was more like a blast of pleasure, a rush of sensation, and then a series of aftershocks once the earthquake passed.
Her mouth worked me hard and fast. I laced my fingers into her hair and restrained her, because the only way I’d survive this was if I took the bull by the horns and controlled it. She peered up at me, trying to persuade me with her blue gaze to let her drive me mad.
But fuck that. If I was going to pour my soul out to her today, I was going to savor this moment. I guided her up and down my shaft, her lips soft and her mouth hot. She licked the head every time I pulled her back, sucking me almost to the base when I pushed her down.
She’s too good at this. I’m going to blow soon.
The next time I pulled her back, she licked my cock with this wicked smile on her lips. Then she sucked it into her mouth and twisted and sucked and twisted. The pleasure was too much. I fucking whimpered, shuddered, then growled because I was pissed she’d won. She wasn’t going to let me stall at all. I came in a hot rush of pleasure that raced up and down my spine, then shot out into her mouth.
She swallowed it. I think. My mind was in a whirlwind and I couldn’t focus on much of anything that happened after that orgasm.
She sat in my lap and kissed me. Yeah… she swallowed because she tasted like me. She held me until my breathing evened out. Then she stood up and tucked my dick back in my pants.
Xander,” she said, pushing away my hand as I tried to slip it back up her thigh. “I know you’re stalling.” Her expression was effectively sobering. The room went from reverberating sexual cries to brimming with tension in a few short minutes. “We agreed to meet here because you said you would take this seriously.”
What just happened here was serious as fuck.” I smirked, trying to lighten up the solemn tone that was setting in around us
She frowned.
Fine.” I huffed a breath. “But before we continue, I want to tell you I’ve never been good at relationships.
What do you mean by that?
I mean I’m controlling and manipulative. I become consumed when I feel something for a woman.
Don’t worry about any of that. I just want to know who you are underneath all the bullshit. Underneath the asshole persona, who are you?”

Thursday, 10 July 2014

Excerpt: (pick one)

I shrugged, checked my watch, and ran my finger over the ring on my right hand. I watched her put the end of the pen in her mouth and it was all I could focus on. I became completely fucking captivated by the way she bit on it, the tip of her tongue swirling around the stick. Jesus… I shifted in my seat as my erection grew heavy—straining against my jeans.
I glanced down at my watch again as a way to stop imagining my cock taking the pen’s place in her mouth.
Are you in a hurry, Mr. Pierce?” I looked up as she uncrossed then recrossed her legs, wiggling slightly in her seat. She had a sensual lure to her that cried out to me, and I’d grown tired of beating around the bush. I never had a problem expressing what I needed from a woman, and I wasn’t going to start now. I met her gaze directly, and she was too prideful to look away, but she wanted to.
Xander.” I corrected her again.
What?” She pretended not to have heard me, but she just wasn’t comfortable calling me by my name.
If I have to tell you one more time to call me Xander, I will pin you to your desk and make you scream it until you get it right.”
She stared at me, mouth slightly agape and eyes widened. “Excuse me?”
I think I was clear.”
She broke eye contact, dropped her notepad on the table in front of her, and rose. She was clearly trying to put some distance between us, but she’d inadvertently gone to stand right in front of the desk I’d referred to.
Why are you here, Mr—Xander? What is it you really want?”
I smiled as she caught herself from calling me Mr. Pierce again. It was too impersonal, and she used the formality to keep up that cinderblock wall she’d built between us. I rose from the chair and walked over to her. She clutched the edge of the desk and
tensed from my violation of her personal space. I leaned into her and she tilted back as far as possible.
I want to sleep, Ms. Shaw, but if I can’t do that…” I trailed my lips across her jaw and took pleasure in the shiver that passed through her body. “I want to fuck.” I bit down on her earlobe. “You.”
She gasped. “That’s not something I can help you with.” But her tone—all trembling and throaty—told me she ached to offer me some relief.
But you want to.” I licked the soft skin of her neck and felt her jaw muscles tighten as she gritted her teeth.
God, how wanted to break her, send her over the edge so she would release those soft moans and let out the claws I knew she hid. I slid my hand over the back of her thigh, slowly moving past the silky fabric of her stockings to the warm, soft skin above. I felt heat radiating from her pussy as I slid my finger higher. I buried my head in her neck and focused on burying my finger into her wet heat.
I moved my hand over the crotch of her panties, and she jerked as if I’d electrocuted her. Fuck… I’d felt the current too. I’ve never wanted to bury my cock in a woman as much as I did this one.
What the fuck is it about her.
I traced the edge of her panties, and just as I was about to get what I really wanted from Avery, she reached out and put her hand on my forearm.
Xander, please…
Now she calls me by my name.

I was arrogant, pushy, controlling, and I was fine with that. What I couldn't control were my dreams. Memories haunted me there.

Even after over a decade, I found I couldn't outrun them. Returning to the place they lived only seemed to trigger a landslide. I couldn't focus, couldn't sleep. Some people drank a warm cup of milk, cuddled up with a book, or threw back a couple shots.

I fucked my way to sleep.
Every single night, I lost myself in pussy. For a long time, it was the only way I knew to get to sleep. But it was getting less and less effective. I slept shorter periods of time before the dreams started.

There was only one hope for my insomnia and she was sexy, intelligent, and unexpected. I wanted to exhaust myself in her sexy little body and let her soothe me to sleep.

The only problem… she was my therapist, and I’d have to break her code of conduct and totally corrupt her before I made her mine.

***Warning: This is an Erotic Serial and contains explicit sexual content and language.***

It is the first in a trilogy. I recommend that you WAIT until you have all three of them in your hands before reading. I did not have that luxury and it is KILLING me. I need to know all the answers, now and I not good at waiting.
Xander Pierce uses sex and frequent sex to help him deal with his insomnia and nightmare issues. This is the only way he can sleep for a few hours at night. He doesn’t hide who he is or what he needs. His current hookup Gabriella gives him a business card of a therapist to help him.
This has interesting results. He is instantly attracted to the therapist and tries to begins\ a relationship with her. Dr. Avery Shaw is no push over. She does not like his cocky attitude and refuses to see him as a client, only changing her mind as a favour to her partner. She then further resists any overtures of a romantic and sexual type. Even though she is attracted to him she fights it and tries to stay professional. The attraction is too strong between them and soon they are having wild hot sex. She soon becomes his balm against the nightmares and calms them slightly. The therapist in her tries to delve into his past to find the root of the problem but he fights her on this.
The story sets the stage for all secrets to be revealed. Hopefully we shall find out what caused his nightmares and also what secrets she has concerning her past and the relationship she has with her roommate Ellie.
I thought the author did a great job with this story. I was itching to know all the answers, the reasons that he sleeps with so many women, why is sex his salvation? What happened to cause him to hate his brother? So many questions and not enough pages to answer them all. And then when I happened to blink, a cliffhanger of major proportions. Excellent read 5/5.

Always Rayne Blog Tour July 7-11

Sierra Avalon hosted by Book Enthusiast Promotions

Would you spend ten days traveling the country with someone you despised if he promised to pay off your student loans?
Recent college graduate, Harper Leigh, can barely make ends meet working as the books editor for a new online entertainment magazine, Chatter. With $85,000 of student loan debt about to go into repayment, she has no idea how she’ll get by.
Just when she thinks things couldn’t get worse, Harper’s boss decides to embed her in the North American tour for the hot rock band, Always Rayne. Ten days on the road with the band for her to get an exclusive story. But Harper’s a homebody and the last thing she wants to do is go on the road with a rock band. And she definitely doesn’t want to spend ten days with the notorious bad boy and band front man, Nic Rayne.
When Nic proves to be too much for Harper to handle and she threatens to quit the assignment, Nic decides to sweeten the pot. If she stays with the tour for all ten days, he’ll pay off all of her student loan debt….but there’s one small catch.
Harper also has to sleep in his bed every night.

This book has an interesting synopsis. Quiet girl is in debt from school. She is forced to tour with band with lure of payment of $85,000 college debt. This had promise, I was intrigued to see how it would play out. I was impressed.

Haper Leigh is more than just a quiet girl, she dresses like a shy librarian living in the past and never leaves the apartment. She works for an online magazine. Her best friend drags her to a concert one night and the star Nic Rayne sees her and decides that he wants her. Her boss gives her an ultimatum- do the interview or you are fired.

Nic is infatuated with her, he is looking for a woman to be his equal, to talk to him like he matters and is not just a rock star. Harper could be this woman if only she would talk to him. He offers her the money to complete the tour with some conditions-sleep in my bed, no sex, just sleep.

He quickly gets into her heart and they start a romantic relationship. He promises that it is only her.

“If you’re mine, You’re mine. I play for keeps”

And then pours his heart out to her.

“We connect on all levels- body, mind and soul.”

This is a first time for love for Harper and there are bound to be some issues along the ride. One of them is the band groupie Raven who has slept with all the guys and thinks Nic is hers. Also the difference in lifestyle and his past will pose some problems. Will this new love be strong enough to survive? Will the difference in their financial situation prove too much too handle? Is band life just too wild for this small town girl? I suggest that you read this story to find all the answers. It is the first in a series so I think we shall be seeing more of these band members and the women that they choose to love. I can’t wait. I would rate this book a 5/5.

King (The VIP Room Book #3)

by:Jamie Begley

I usually start off a review by acknowledging that the author supplied the ARC but not in this case, nope, I wanted to read it so badly that I bought it. Yep, some authors you just love so much that you have to buy everything that they write. Jamie Begley is one of those. I have never been disappointed. All of her books, this one included rank up in the 5/5 ratings. I mean they have it all, a great set of characters, an amazing story line and lots of wild and crazy sex.

This is King’s turn. I must be honest, he has not been my favourite character before. Kind of stand offish, a criminal bad guy and just kind of creepy for my liking. This was his time to shine. His true character comes out in spades. He is eager for a life with Evie and does whatever he needs to in order to make her see him as a real person. The sex between them gets off to a shaky start, she does not really like him but finds herself attracted to him never the less. He keeps at her and slowly they begin a relationship. He is honest in his attraction to her and makes changes in his life to keep her. She has always been part of the group and it is hard for her to love only one man. He makes it worth her while in so many different ways and as always the sex is constant and steamy.

It was great to see the other characters that we have grown to love make an appearance and also we watched as King struggles to find the balance in his life with his daughter and accept who she is and who she loves. There is bound to be drama and intrigue and danger and theses elements just add to the overall enjoyment of the story.

I look forward to reading more by this author and would recommend her to all romance lovers.

Tasty Book Tours Q&A with Jamie Begley

Author of New Release, KING

~Jamie, thank you so much for taking the time to chat with one of your biggest fans (me, of course) about your New Release, KING (VIP Room #3). So, was KING originally planned to have his own book, or was it just an “Aha” moment?

When I came up with the idea of the VIP series, I always intended to do a book on King.”

~Why Evie for his heroine?

Because she my favorite woman Last Rider. She’s loyal to the men, and the men are to her. Yes, they share sex and enjoy it but it’s about more than that. They have each other’s back, they will always be there for each other.”

~KING definitely has some emotional moments, which was the hardest for you to write?

The hardest moment was when she stepped in front of King when she was afraid he was going to be shot. In that moment she chose between The Last Riders and King.”

~Be honest, in a fist fight, who would win, King or Shade?

Jeez put me on the spot here. Hmm…they are both dirty fighters but I think in a fight between them it would be a lose, lose situation. Any other character I have written about would lose to Shade, but King is just as deadly.”

~With KING, you have truly entwined the world of the VIP Room Series and The Last Riders Series. Do you plan to have any other cross-over books in the future?

No, never. It was too hard, I had to keep all the books and storylines in my head at the same time while I was moving the stories forward. I didn’t even tell my editors because I wanted their honest reactions. It was more than worth it though when I did Tainted and it was revealed they were entwined.

~I know the biggest question all your fans want to know is WHO’S NEXT?

~Out of all of your Heroes, who had given you the most grief?

Razor, but Cash is catching up.”

~Do you have a favorite character out of all of your series? Why are they your favorite?

Knox. Because he was truly a good person who lost his true love. I cried when I wrote the graveyard scene. I wanted him to be happy finally and Diamond was the right woman for him.”
